HOW OUR JOURNEY BEGAN

OUR STORY. OUR PASSION.

It all began with a dream. What is your dream? We can help.

OUR BEGINNING

Lori served as an interpreter on her first mission trip to Guatemala in 1997. She fell in love with the people. In 2001 she took Roy to Guatemala, and they were “married” by Pastor Pablo, Sr. Even though Roy doesn’t speak Spanish, he got the message that he couldn’t come back to Guatemala unless he married Lori for real! On July 20, 2002, Roy and Lori were married in Kansas City, and they returned to Guatemala in 2003. After blending a family of 3 girls, they returned in 2013 and Lori began leading the mission teams every July until COVID-19 cancelled their 2020 trip. All three of their daughters, their son-in-law and oldest grandson have all shared in this life-changing mission trip experience.

Roy and Lori have found joy in sharing their gifts of administration, leadership and Spanish (Lori) and evangelism, leadership and coaching (Roy) through their Guatemala ministry, mentoring high school students, and training companies on communication and leadership as Certified John Maxwell Team speakers and coaches. They have helped over a hundred people change their lives by encouraging others to serve on a Guatemala mission trip.

For several years Roy and Lori felt God was calling them to help charities raise money. They continue to lead and help raise money for their Guatemala ministry, but they also have a passion to help other ministries and charities. In 2020 the VISION became clear. They started Envision Legacy Partners to merge their financial business with the coaching and mentoring they have already been doing for years. Their focus is on helping people clarify their vision for creating a lasting impact through the generous use of their time, talent and treasure.
